Job Description The Intensivist group will cover a 23-bed medical surgical ICU utilizing a hybrid closed unit in which the Intensivist is a mandatory consult, and is empowered with the authority to manage the patient. This is a multidisciplinary team environment dedicated to excellence in clinical service and continuous quality improvement. Intensivist-directed multidisciplinary rounds are conducted daily with nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and dieticians in attendance. The intensivist group provides 24/7 coverage utilizing a shift staffing model. Shifts are 12 hours in length. Days, nights, and days off are rotated in 7-day blocks. |
